Festival frenzy? Texas Music Matters’ expert picks for who to see at ACL Fest
The Black Keys, Iggy and The Stooges, Neil Young and Crazy Horse. These may be the names that initially draw a crowd to ACL Fest, but there are plenty of other musical gems to be discovered among the 130 bands playing Zilker Park this coming weekend.
To help guide you through the saturated lineup, KUT’s Texas Music Matters creates “The List” with the help of some local music afficianados. It’s an insider’s guide to ACL Fest that will cut down on the time you spend wandering aimlessly through the park, maximizing your potential to experience some new music you might otherwise miss.
This year’s broadcast, which first aired on Friday, features 12 picks from local music experts for the under-the-radar bands not to be missed at Zilker Park Oct. 12 – 14. Here are the 2012 picks.
